1-3. Information the Service Receives from Third Parties

The Service may acquire personal information about Users (including personally related information as defined in the Personal Information Protection Act) from third parties (including but not limited to DMP operators). The Service may link such information with the User’s personal information that it holds, for purposes such as analyzing usage of the Service and delivering advertisements and verifying advertising results.

In addition, within the scope of “2. Purposes of Use of Personal Information,” and to the extent necessary and permitted by law, the Service may acquire publicly available information about Users, or request third parties to acquire information about Users.

2. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

When acquiring personal information, the Service specifies the purposes of use in advance and, except where permitted under the Related Laws, will not use such personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve those purposes without the consent of the individual concerned.

In addition to the purposes of use specified at the time of acquiring individual personal information and the purposes described in each set of terms of use corresponding to the Service, the Service uses Users’ personal information (including using it after processing it so that individuals cannot be identified) for the following purposes and purposes related thereto.

4. Transfer of Personal Information Overseas

The Service may provide personal information acquired from Users to third parties located in foreign countries. As a result, such personal information may be stored overseas. In such cases, the Service will ascertain the system for protecting personal information in the relevant foreign country, and will take reasonable measures to ensure that the use of personal information conforms to the applicable laws and regulations.

5. Implementation of Security Management Measures

Specifically, in accordance with the Related Laws, the Service implements organizational, personnel, physical, and technical security management measures as necessary for User information, including personal information handled by the Service, to prevent unauthorized access to User information and the loss, destruction, alteration, leakage, and the like of User information. At the same time, should such an incident occur, the Service will respond promptly and appropriately and make every effort to correct it, including preventing secondary damage and recurrence.

8. About Access Logs

9. About Registered Information

To prevent information from being lost due to computer failures, human error, and the like, the Service creates backup copies of such information at regular intervals. So that customized information based on your own settings can be displayed each time you use the Service, the Service stores your registered information in an active state in the Service’s member database. When you request the Service to delete your registered information, your registered information will no longer be in an active state. It will then be deleted from the Service’s member database after a certain period. This grace period is provided to prevent you from becoming involved in disadvantages such as fraud. Please note that any information for which the Service has created a backup copy will be retained for a certain period even after you request deletion of your registered information and it is no longer in an active state.
