RouteShareをご利用いただきありがとうございます。この度当サービスを利用している皆様に重要なお知らせがあります。表題の通り、RouteShareは機能追加を伴うリニューアル機に日本以外の地域の地図表示ができなくなります。リニューアルは来年2026年1~3月に予定しています。

  • Google Map、Mapboxの地図は表示にコストが大きくかかっていること
  • コスト対策のため国土地理院の地図（日本語表示）に変更すること
  • リニューアル、事業方針の変換により日本の情報をメインとして取り扱うことになったこと

上記3点が理由となります。すでに国外のユーザーや投稿が行われている中、今回の変更によりご不便やご迷惑をおかけすることとなり、心よりお詫び申し上げます。

この変更により国外地域の地図表示ができなくなります。ただし、既存の投稿データ自体は削除されることはありません。

今後は日本国内のルート・スポット情報の拡充に注力し、より詳細で快適な地図体験を提供することを目指してまいります。国外でのご利用を楽しみにされていた皆様には大変申し訳ございませんが、サービス継続と品質向上のための判断となりますことをご理解いただけますと幸いです。

FAQ

すでに国外の情報を載せた投稿はどうなりますか？

リニューアル後も残りますが、地図は詳細に表示されなくなります。お手数ですがご自身で削除。データの転記をお願いいたします。イメージとしては世界地図レベルでは各大陸は表示されますが、州・県レベルの距離では以下の様に地図が表示されません。

50kmレベルの縮尺で見る場合や世界地図の場合、海外の地域は表示されます。

z10.png上図より1段階ズームすると本来であれば朝鮮半島が少し含まれますが、地理院地図で表示されなくなります。特定のズーム以降は海外の地域は表示されません。

リニューアル後は国外の情報は投稿できますか？

基本的に行えなくなります。緯度経度を計算し、日本国外と予想される範囲の場合は投稿が行えなくなります。

なぜ日本限定とするのですか？

RouteShareを事業的に運営するにあたり、国外ユーザーまでカバーするのが現状収益的に難しいことまた地図表示にかかるコストが増大しているためです。将来的に運営が安定次第、海外情報を載せられる様にする予定はあります。

英語設定での利用はできますか？

表示言語を英語にしてのご利用は引き続き可能です。しかし、使用する地図は日本語表記が標準となります。

Thank you for using RouteShare. We have an important announcement for all our users. As stated in the subject, with the upcoming renewal that includes new features, RouteShare will no longer support displaying maps outside of Japan. The renewal is scheduled for January to March 2026.

The reasons for this change are as follows:

  • The high cost of displaying maps using Google Maps and Mapbox

  • Switching to maps provided by the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI), which are displayed in Japanese, as a cost-saving measure

  • A change in our business direction, focusing primarily on information related to Japan

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this change will cause, especially for users who are already posting and browsing routes outside Japan.

Due to this change, route displays and searches for areas outside of Japan will no longer be available. However, existing posts themselves will not be deleted.

Going forward, we will focus on expanding route and spot information within Japan to provide a more detailed and comfortable map experience. We deeply regret disappointing users who were looking forward to using RouteShare outside Japan, but we kindly ask for your understanding that this decision is necessary for the continuation and improvement of the service.

FAQ

What will happen to posts that already include information outside of Japan?

They will remain after the renewal, but the maps will no longer display detailed information. We kindly ask users to delete such posts themselves if necessary. For reference, the world map will still show continents at a global scale, but at the country, state, or prefecture level, detailed maps will not be displayed.

When viewed at a scale of 50km or larger, or on a world map, overseas regions will be displayed.

z10.pngZooming in one level from the above map would normally include part of the Korean Peninsula, but it will no longer be displayed on the Geographical Survey Institute map. Beyond a certain zoom level, overseas regions are not displayed.

Will it still be possible to post information outside Japan after the renewal?

Basically, no. The system will calculate the latitude and longitude, and if the location is determined to be outside Japan, posting will be disabled.

Why are you limiting the service to Japan only?

Running RouteShare as a business makes it difficult to cover users worldwide in a sustainable way, especially given the increasing costs of map display.

Can I still use the service with the English language setting?

Yes, the interface can still be displayed in English. However, the maps will use Japanese labels as the standard.
