Joining and Leaving a Team
There are two ways to join a team: a join request or an invitation. You can request to join Community teams yourself, while Private teams can only be joined by invitation.
Finding teams
The “Teams” tab in search lists publicly visible Community teams. You can also open it from “Find a team” in the “My teams” section of your account page. Use keyword search and sorting to find a team you like.

Requesting to join
Open a team’s public profile, and if you are not a member you will see a “Request to join” button.

Tapping it opens a message form. The message to the owner is optional, up to 100 characters. Tap “Send” to submit the request.

After sending, the button changes to “Request sent”. When the owner approves it you become a member and receive a notification.
Joining via an invitation
Teams can invite you in two ways.
- Direct invite … The team specifies your user ID. You receive a notification and an email
- URL invite … You receive an invitation link issued by the team. Links expire 24 hours after they are issued and become unusable once one person uses them
Either way, opening the invitation shows the “Team Invitation” screen where you can review the team and choose “Accept” or “Decline”.

Accepting makes you a member right away and switches you to the team.
If you don’t have an account
Opening an invitation link while logged out shows a sign-up notice. Proceed with “Sign Up” and you will be asked to confirm joining the team during registration.

Leaving a team
To leave a team, switch to it and open “Leave Team” in Team Management.

When you leave, your member posts and shared touring plans in the team are deleted. Posts made in the team’s name remain with the team. This action cannot be undone.
Tap “Confirm Leaving” to open the confirmation. Check “I understand the deleted content cannot be restored.” and tap “Leave” to complete it.
Owners cannot leave their own team — disbanding is the only way. See Creating a Team and Changing Its Settings.
