Article Setting and Publishing

After entering the map and article, finally configure the article settings and publish/save it. In the settings screen, you can select

• Private Settings
• Tags
• Thumbnail

Private setting

You can save or publish your article. Save allows you to continue to create content in draft form, and only you can see it.
Articles can be made public or shared privately using a URL. If you choose to make an article public with URL sharing, the URL will be generated as shown in the image below, so please share it only with the people you want to show it to.

Tags

RouteShare allows you to put tags on your articles. Register tags such as place name, prefecture, event, road name, nickname, etc. Articles with tags can be found on the article search screen. Enter a tag name and click "Add" to register it. (You can also add a tag by pressing SHIT + Enter)

Click on a tag to untag it.

Thumbnail

Any image can be set as a thumbnail for an article. When a thumbnail is set, the image will be displayed in the list as shown below.

If a thumbnail is set, it can be deleted by clicking the button. You can change it with a click.

Publish and update articles

To publish or save your article, click one of the buttons below. If you save it, it will be saved as a draft and only you will be able to see it.

When updating, you can choose to update or revert to a draft.

This completes the creation of the article!

After entering both the map and article content, complete the final step by configuring the article settings and then publishing or saving your post. In the settings screen, you can adjust the following three items:

• Publishing
• Tags
• Thumbnail

Publishing

You can choose to either save your article as a draft or publish it. Saving keeps the article as a draft, allowing you to continue editing it later, and it will not be visible to anyone else.

Articles can be made public or shared privately via URL. You can create up to 10 privately shared articles. When sharing via URL, a unique link will be generated, as shown in the image below—please share it only with those you want to view the article.

Tags

On RouteShare, you can add tags to your articles. Try adding tags such as place names, prefectures, events, road names, or nicknames. Articles with tags can be searched from the article search screen. To add a tag, enter the tag name and tap “Add” (you can also press Shift + Enter to add it).

Tapping a tag will remove it.

Thumbnail

You can set any image as the thumbnail for your article. When a thumbnail is set, it will appear in article lists and other places as shown below.

If a thumbnail is set, you can delete it by tapping the X button. Tap the image to replace it with a different one.

Publishing or Updating an Article

To publish or save the article you’ve created, tap one of the buttons below. If you choose to save, the article will be saved as a draft and will not be visible to others.

When updating an article, you can choose either to update it or revert it back to a draft.

That completes the article creation process!
